Dear President Obama... Sweeping torture under the rug does NOT keep us safe...

It does not prevent people from doing it again... Seriously? WTF kind of non-sense is that?

Investigate. Charge. Arrest. Convict. Throw their asses in jail for the rest of their lives.

THAT will keep people from doing it again... THAT will keep us safe.

Sheesh.

It wasn't swept under the rug. It was declared to be patriotic fervour. nt delrem Dec 2014 #1

admitted on TV and in their books that torture was used.

We asked if they would use torture again, they both said "Yes".

Obama said, "We tortured some folks".

He then went on to say the torturers were patriots.

He then lectured those of us who are against torture not to be sanctimonious.

He met with the leaders of countries that wanted to prosecute the Bush administration.

He made it clear there would be consequences if those countries proceeded.

He told us we need to look forward as opposed to not looking backwards.

This does not sound like someone who is against torture.

Both administrations have blood on their hands.

Both should be held accountable.

Neither will be.

They are club members.

They protect their own.

The U.S. justice system is a failed system.

No one is suppose to be above the law.

No Democratic Republic can survive a two tier justice system.
