STUDY: HPV Vaccination Not Linked To Increase In Sexual Promiscuity. (Well DUH!)

So, can we stop with the whole pathetic practice of using the possibility of DEATH BY SEX to SCARE people into celibacy now? Why is the practice of vaccinating girls against an STD a 'moral' issue; while failing to protect girls against death by cervical cancer when you could easily prevent it is somehow NOT a moral issue?

A Canadian study that followed the incidence of pregnancy or STDs in 260,000 teenaged girls found no difference in pregnancy or STD rates in girls that were vaccinated relative to those who weren't.

"We present strong evidence that HPV vaccination does not have any significant effect on clinical indicators of sexual behaviour among adolescent girls," the study’s authors conclude in Monday’s CMAJ issue.

"These results suggest that concerns over increased promiscuity following HPV vaccination are unwarranted and should not deter from vaccinating at a young age."

I find it ironic that the one thing Rick Perry ever did that made sense is the one thing that cost him the GOP nomination in 2012.
