(17,997 posts)You don't want to read, make you wish you were oblivious, but know you have to read. Searchable even better.
Since 550 pages have been redacted, I am only speaking as to what has been released; there's very little we didn't know here. Hopefully, it now can't be denied and people will be tried for war crimes.
Thanks again for posting

That is what we have done as a nation.

(7,908 posts)the Senate back in 2008, IIRC. It was equally damning, if not more so.
ETA: Found it. Not completely senile yet!

(86,569 posts)a religious zealot if I ever heard a one!
I will ever forget, these events not only ruined the lives of those in the line of fire, so to speak, it ruined all of our lives in the countries whose governments made this happen. It sure trashed my previous decade of effort towards a cherished goal exactly when my field of opportunities were opening and I have yet to experience any change other than my age progression. I'm still paying for it in numerous ways and will be for the rest of my life and I had no direct involvement other than my birth-location, apparently. I did not vote for those who were in office so I had no role in them being there.
Compared to the vast majority of us (citizens of the perp-countries), I didn't have it nearly as bad. Only the wealthy and the war profiteers benefited from every US downfall since 2000.
Many wonder how the US civilian police force could have become so militaristic and vile... the other "enforcement" groups have impunity so why shouldn't they because, hey, people are people so treat the selected victims the same everywhere. It's what I have noticed whenever I see a TeeVee somewhere (I don't have one). Monkey see, monkey do kind of rationale at work, making a justification for this kind of atrocity by redefining it as honorable. Sounds too familiar and always perpetuates a circular discussion.

(60,010 posts)but that is probably because Condaleeza is now a board member, and everyone has been boycotting the site.
2nd link works fine, thanks.

(11,085 posts)Trade that "moral high ground" for "pit of depravity" by torturing so many people so much that it takes 460 pages to SUMMARIZE it.

(86,569 posts)These will make for some long-term scrutiny. Every document of this sort is a linguistic jungle-gym... Each time you read it, every point can have a new meaning. Having it to return to is desirable for making an informed decision that may even evolve over time.

(10,270 posts)All 6000 pages, in all its hateful, murderous "glory".
It's the only way to actually move forward, for the IDIOTS in this country to admit what was done in our name.
Some will resist. But now, that resistance is increasingly futile.

(484 posts)has access. You can't tell me that there aren't people that already have the complete report and are willing to put it out there. There are no secrets in this day and age.

(90,656 posts)Can't remember the exact words, but it was very clear that she intends it to be present in the archives and public some day. She's done a great thing.
I imagine that all over the country, FOIA requests are being drafted.

(90,656 posts)I'm a Californian, and have asked several people here who they think is in the pipeline to replace my Senator, the one they despise so much. So far I have not gotten an answer.
To Californians I've also explained the seniority system that gives her so much power -- power that enabled her to pursue this very project for all these years, see it to completion, and then by God publish it against the fulminations of the GOPers on her committee and against the urgent requests of the Executive Branch and others in the government.
But next week expect a return to DUers fuming about how she's a corporatist sellout and should do us a favor and drop dead so a Green or a Socialist or a True Dem can take her place.
