Telegraph live feed: CIA torture report released: latest news

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/northamerica/usa/11282617/CIA-torture-report-released-live.html

18.48 A surprising lack of reaction from Russia's state media to today's torture report, writes our Moscow correspondent Tom Parfitt:

Drills, waterboarding - Russian state TV shd be having a party, right? NTV: “Zhirinovsky can’t go to the banya because everyone loves him."
— Tom Parfitt (@parfitt_tom) December 9, 2014

Russia’s Channel One also strangely muted so far: “US Senate report: CIA interrogation methods were unproductive."

18.44 Former intelligence officials are reacting furiously to the report, writes Philip Sherwell:

This is from John Schindler, a former National Security Agency official and US Naval war college professor, who is a strong defender of the intelligence world. His tweets suggest that anger at the report stretches beyond the US intell community.

I know v senior Western intel types who collaborated w/IC on renditions, etc. They are beyond furious today. Gotten hellish emails already.

Best email so far: "We will not forget this. US(G) betrayed us. We know who is responsible & we will remember." (top NATO intel official)
