Jon Stewart makes one mistake, admits to it. Fox News goes crazy.

If you saw yesterday's Daily Show, you inevitably saw Jon Stewart apologize after listing an incident in California as one of several recent cases of African American males dying as a result of police violence, wherein fact the official cause of death was listed as an overdose. However, Stewart went on to point out the resulting firestorm from various talking heads on Fox News who were ever so quick to pick up on Stewart's error, noting that he only had to be wrong once for them to pay attention.

However, it appears that Fox wasn't done with its gloat-a-thon, gleefully noting on its "Fox Nation" sister site how "It looks like (Fox and Friends' host) Brian Kilmeade Got Under Jon Stewart's Skin":

These guys are such tools. They're that one guy in school who won't shut up about that one embarrassing thing you once did, while he continues to act like a complete ass on a daily basis.

I mean, consider the number of errors that you can regularly find on Kilmeade's atrocious "Fox and Friends" show:

And that was just in the course of a single year, mind you.

Or the time they mistook the NCAA for the NAACP:

Or the time they claim that President Obama would be personally funding a National Muslim museum:

http://articles.latimes.com/2013/oct/07/entertainment/la-et-st-fox-news-anna-kooiman-obama-muslim-museum-funding-shutdown-20131007

Or the time they reversed the results of a poll concerning the power of the government to strip collective bargaining power from unions:

http://www.newscorpse.com/ncWP/?p=3917

Or the time they decided to post a three year old picture of President Obama with a pirate and use it as point of criticism for no apparent reason:

(Yes, that actually happened.)

So, yeah, feel proud of yourself, Fox. You are knocking someone who delivers more substantial news to the public every night in a satirical comedy format than Fox News has given us in its 18 years of existence.

I can't tell you how many times I have yelled at someone from Fox News and wished they were right in front of me so I could say it to their faces.
Jon does it for me, and he does it better, and with more class and humor than I ever could.

We are lucky to have him.

Fox News g̶o̶e̶s̶ is crazy. There fixed it. Like most people that hold water for the 1%, they will attack mistakes made by liberals, poor people, Democrats, black people, hispanics, anyone that isn't part of the oligarchy. For example if a poor person loses their car and loses a job because they don't have a car they will offer the so helpful advice that they should have bought a bicycle never mind it's an upfront purchase of a couple hundred dollars if you don't want a bike that is going to fall apart in a month. Rachel Maddow apologizes for her mistakes and they come back with see she lies all the time. Yet, I never see them apologize for any of their mistakes or the hate they constantly spew.

7. Fatal Wrong Versus Factual Wrong

How distractible the American population is is shown by whether most are taken in by the false comparison between apples and oranges.

Obviously, Jon Stewart's messing up on one fact check is not tantamount to the police messing up someone's life.

One is the "no harm, no foul" outcome of a factual error, while the other is the harmfully foul result of a dead body lying in a morgue.

And the number of dead bodies is mounting as a result of bigotry, racism, the use of excessive force without warrant and/or the failure of police departments around the country to weed out the bad cops, while "good" cops remain fatally silent.
