Torture Report: A one day "news" media event...

No one will pay for their misdeeds. There will be no prosecutions. No one person will be held accountable. The architects of this blight on American history will move on to thier next crime.

It's the same old story. Allow America to be attacked by terrorists on 9/11 and then put up prison walls and a surveillance apparatus, nothing. Wreck the economy (along with everything that entailed), not so much as a wrist slap. Torture and violate treaty obligations and just plain morality and honor, everyone walks away after one day of scolding.

See y'all tomorrow when we'll move on to something else for which, once again, no one will be held accountable. The bottom line is that if you have power, you will not be held accountable. If you're a member of the club, no circumstances for you. But, if you are you and me, don't you dare so much as walk in the street or have brown skin! Or you will be killed, on the spot!

captured during military hostilities will now be tortured. And all the breast-beating and rending of garments the U.S. does won't mean jack shit. WE HAVE NO MORAL STANDING LEFT TO CRITICIZE ANY OTHER NATION'S BEHAVIOR. NONE! ZIP! NADA! We join such illustrious predecessors as the French in southeast Asia, the Japanese in China and Belgians in the Congo.
