Having someone on TV call it historic but provide only a few second snippet doesn't tell me anything. When she was refusing to talk to reporters in the hall yesterday she said she'd say everything that was on her mind today in the Senate, and frankly there was a lot in her body language that said she had a bellyful of anger. So I want to hear it.
What I got to hear from John McCain was more lengthy, and from my perspective showed the kind of man we used to think he was a long time ago. State sanctioned torture doesn't work and it most definitely stains our national honor.
Bush Cheney Rumsfeld Yoo -- all those bastards -- belong in the pits of Hell. The thing is, we here at DU, we and others like us who opposed that administration and their wars-- we knew, we knew, we knew and we shouted it from the streets.
I'm glad the Dems on the committee decided to release the report now, while they still are in the majority. If not now, when? Turn over this dung heap and see what crawls out.
I have to leave for several hours, but I hope someone will post the link I need while I'm gone. Thanks in advance.

(90,202 posts)I know she has a pretty strong anti-fan base here, but those who want to slam her for this report should get a cup of coffee and listen to every word in this hour-long speech.
There are any number of DUers who don't necessarily live in California who want to see her primaryed and defeated. None of them has been able to give me the name of even one viable candidate who is in the pipeline to succeed her.
I am more convinced than ever that Senator Feinstein should stay right where she is until she either retires or the people of California retire her in what is known as an election.
Back to listening.
