Thanks Obama!

By 2006, press disclosures, the unwillingness of other countries to host existing or new detention
sites, and legal and oversight concerns had largely ended the CIA's ability to operate clandestine
detention facilities.

After detaining at least 113 individuals through 2004, the CIA brought only six additional
detainees into its custody: four in 2005, one in 2006, and one in 2007. By March 2006, the
program was operating in only one country. The CIA last used its enhanced interrogation
techniques on November 8, 2007. The CIA did not hold any detainees after April 2008.

I think even the CIA knew the process was shitty and not producing any results by that point.

The pricks that were hyping it's use, especially the phony psychologists they hired to get the information they wanted had been outed and proven to be frauds.

Most of the key players in the DOJ, like John Yoo and Jay Bybee, that authorized and championed the use of torture were gone.

I think by 2006 the administration was in cover your ass mode so it probably did end.

CIA Headquarters was pushing to waterboard people even after they people on the ground said they had everything they could get and detainees were being truthful.

This came from Cheney the fucking asshole I bet...He was "war on terror" crazy and wanted proof his methods worked. CIA Headquarters and the White House deserve all the blame-

Man, has it ever been rich around here today.

And by rich I mean we're all knee deep in bullshit from the same clown car folks who would criticize him for merely daring to wake up every morning.

A while ago I got into with someone because, as he claimed, Obama was supposedly obstructing the release of this report.

Now no doubt he has forgotten that conversation and has moved the goalpost yet again.

These people don't reward politicians for serving them - in fact, they punish anyone who tries, so it's no shock that they usually just don't.

had nothing to do with implementing this torture but seriously, thanking Obama for stopping it before he was elected is a little weird
