I thought my friend was @ deaths door for the last few days...

Back in the summer of 97 Marta and I got a cable modem. We had the @home service (now defunct) through Cox Cable. We were one of the first installs because of a few strings we pulled. Part of the service was the Excite home page. I've had it ever since.

A few times off and on Excite has had some tech problems. I have posted about this before. But the last few days the news links stopped working. I can grab the news for LBN & GD and do them in my sleep from Excite. They still weren't working this morning. So I started using the AP site. Not bad once you start using it. But not as fast to get through and post from.

I sent off an email today about the situation to Mind Spark, the owner. I figured I was finally leaving Excite. I gave it one last try. You can probably guess by now the news links are working again.

Some days the little things can mean so much.
