I pay attention to that issue only now and again but I can see why people are interested in the subject; if she does run it will be interesting for what it says about the Democratic Party and she is, at the moment, one of the few credible threats to Hillary Clinton.

People talk about what they are interested in - it's the nature of a discussion board that many of those discussions don't go anywhere particular.

"but aren't there better issues to talk about?"

I have no real reason to believe that the discussion of one topic denies the discussion of any other topic. And, as she's a major political player, and as we're on a board dedicated to politics, she appears to be a rather apt topic of discussion.

I imagine that were I truthfully and sincerely tired of discussions regarding her candidacy, I'd simply hide them.

Which let's face it, this will turn into. I have no idea if she will run or not, but I want a good primary, and I would love to see some actual liberal ideas brought up. Hillary may very well win the nomination, and I would support her in the General, but she doesn't have it yet, and there's nothing wrong with Dems looking at their options. Isn't that, in theory, what the Primaries are for?

I mean, I can understand posting threads excited about the possibility of her as a candidate, that makes perfect sense.

But I don't get why threads would be posted insisting she won't run, unless there are other motives like, they don't want her to run, or already have a favored candidate of their own.

Just something I find strange, because last time I looked, no one has announced they are running for president, yet.

I just think it would make things more interesting if she did run.

I guess some people are scared of her potential candidacy, or something.

Warren knows what she is doing and isn't sure if she is going to run or not. A whole part of this is manufactured ground-swell that will in part lead to her final decision. This one aspect alone is increasing her name recognition. She seems to be pretty aware of the nature of politics or has put people around her who are. When she decides in the end, one group is going to yell I told you so. Fact is that she doesn't know. This is all a part of getting feelers out, pulling in money, and gaining name recognition. If things seem favorable she will run. If they don't, she won't.

We just had an election, so it's almost 2 years away. I remember the large group of Ds in 2008 all debating. It is absurdly early when it starts, but still it doesn't really start till over a year from now. She has always been used to bash Obama and to imply she'd be a better President. Something that will never have to be proven or be capable of being proven.
