16 busted in regional child-porn crackdown, FDLE says

More than a dozen people were arrested in recent days as part of a multi-agency sting targeting child pornography in Central Florida, the Florida Department of Law Enforcement announced Monday.

Danny Banks, the special agent in charge of the FDLE office in Orlando, said the investigation resulted in 12 search warrants, leading to 16 arrests in the past week on "nearly 70 criminal charges."

One suspect remained at large: Angel Luis Rodriguez, 39, an Orange County sex offender convicted of molesting a child who Banks said has since cut off his court-ordered GPS device and absconded.

Authorities are seeking the public's help in finding Rodriguez, Banks said.
