Fellow Clinton Supporters: Time for the knock out blow in NC!

( I was cleaning up favorites and came across this blast from the past greatness thread )

Dear Fellow Hillary Supporters:

It's time to pour cash into Hillary's coffers. If we can take him down in Indiana and North Carolina, this thing is essentially over! Hillary is the nominee. The campaign won't trumpet this fact. They want the Obama forces to keep crowing about how they are going to win North Carolina.

But look at the latest poll from Survey USA from North Carolina. It contains a hidden mesage. 5% have already voted. Obama supposedly leads among these early voters by 12pts. 47 - 35% with 2% going for other. That leaves 15% "undecided." But unless NC has a funny electoral system, undecided isn't on the ballot.

What does that mean, you ask? And why is it good news for Hilary?

My guess is that it means that HIllary's support is probably under-reported. She may even lead among those who have already voted 50-47. It may even mean that Obama support among likely voters is overstated and that HIllary's is understated.

Even with that Survey USA has Obama ahead by only 9 pts with a relatively large sampling error of 3.7%. That means Obama's 9 pt lead could be as large as almost 17% or as small as 1%. (17 and 1% are both extreme, but they are equiprobable.)

But the dirty little secret is that a narrow victory is not absolutely out of the question for Hillary.

Let's pour on the dough and see what happens. Since Obama has HUGE expectations, a loss wouldn't be devestating for us (as long as we win Indiana.) But if we pull out even a narrow win, Obama is absolute TOAST. The superdelegates will abandon him and the nomination will be Hillary's.

The media is too stupid and in the tank to even consider the possibility. Obama's supporters are too drunk on their kool-aid to see it too.

So let's go, team. Pour on the cash -- I just gave another 200, to take my total over 1K. Let's steal this state and shut Obama down.

REASON FOR ALERT

This post is disruptive, hurtful, rude, insensitive, over-the-top, or otherwise inappropriate.

ALERTER'S COMMENTS

Call out of another DUER from the 2008 primary wars. Please hide this to send a clear message that this is not acceptable. This is the very definition of "This post is disruptive, hurtful, rude, insensitive, over-the-top, or otherwise inappropriate.".

You served on a randomly-selected Jury of DU members which reviewed this post. The review was completed at Wed Dec 17, 2014, 10:28 AM, and the Jury voted 2-5 to LEAVE IT.

Juror #1 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: Uh, NO, this is NOT a call-out of another DU'er. It is a copy of an old post that was a cut-and-paste from a fundraising email, and the person who posted it supported Hillary. At the time the fundraising folk were trying to convince everyone that ONLY HILLARY could win (which turned out to be WRONG - ask PRESIDENT Obama). This is called REMEMBERING and it wasn't disruptive then, and isn't disruptive now. Shame on the alerter for wanting to PRETEND this should be hidden. LEAVE IT!
Juror #2 voted to HIDE IT
Explanation: Nothing but disruptive. Amazing how many people here get upset that democrats would support a democrat. These are nothing but posts designed to demoralize supporters of democrats. The poster still living in 2008. Additionally, it is complete meta.
Juror #3 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: Quit whining because the post makes you mad!
Juror #4 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: Grow a fucking spine.
Juror #5 voted to HIDE IT
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #6 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: Yeah, let's all pretend this didn't really happen. Here's an idea, instead of hiding this post stick your fingers in your ears and go "LA LA LA" really loud.
Juror #7 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: People here are getting awfully thin-skinned if someone finds that offensive.

Thank you very much for participating in our Jury system, and we hope you will be able to participate again in the future.

8. And the voters are going to again send a clear message to Hillary if she decides not to bow out of the race in deference to our beloved Elizabeth.

as I was curious. He won NC by about 15 meaning that the poll was far off. Had it been that far off in her favor she would have lost by about 3. In fairness to the pollster, primaries are hard to poll. that said, I found such logic unconvincing at the time, I loved for her in NC but had zero expectation that I had voted for a winning candidate.

I believe she fully expected to cruise to the 2008 nomination, and then treated it that way until it was too late.

Anybody out there really think they'll make the same mistake twice?

I'm guessing they're exploring every way possible to destroy any potential contenders, including Warren and Sanders if they choose to run. And with the amount of money they can raise over others in the field........

Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but the $50 and $100 donations from grassroot peons and volunteers don't compare to what millions and millions of dollars can mount both in media promotions and feet on the ground.
