They believed that the White House surrendered too quickly to the Republicans in the budget debate. They believed that there was enough division in the Republican Party, witness the close vote in the House, that they could have gotten some important concessions from the Republicans. Do you agree with them that they should have tried? Or do you believe the government would have shut down and the Democrats would have been to blame? And do you believe that the Democrats who voted for the Republican plan, along with the President, were right to do so when they did?
Also, if Pelosi and Warren were wrong about getting any concessions from the Republicans, could they not have simply said that they tried and they would have to go along with the Republicans? Would the Republicans still have continued to shut down the government after Pelosi and Warren conceded to their budget? Great political thinkers are great poker players.

Or there is also the explanation that it was all a huge ruse and Warren and Pelosi were in on it.
Or I could live outside the BOG.

The Democrats who voted for the bill were pretty much of two categories -- the ones bought and paid for by the banks and the ones loyal to Obama who will vote the way he asks them to, period.
