Meteorologist shot outside TV station in Texas

From the article:

The suspect fled after allegedly shooting Patrick Crawford, NBC affiliate KCEN's morning meteorologist, multiple times in the studio's parking lot, Department of Public Safety Trooper D.L. Wilson told ABC News today.

might just be okay. He's in surgery but it sounds like he got medical treatment quickly. Hope they get the shooter before he shoots anyone else.

Officers continued to search late Wednesday afternoon in the Bruceville-Eddy area for the gunman who confronted and then shot a local forecaster as the victim was getting into his car in the parking lot of the KCEN-TV studio along Interstate 35 between Waco and Temple.

Authorities arrested a man they described as a possible suspect early Wednesday afternoon, but later said he was not involved, although he was taken into custody on unrelated warrants.

The gunman is white, in his mid-30s, balding, and was wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt and dark jeans, authorities said.

The two exchanged words, although it’s not clear whether they simply talked or argued, and then the suspect pulled out the semi-automatic handgun and opened fire.

has a meteorologist that chuckles when it snows, since apparently he doesn't believe in global warming. Because we all know that when it snows, that disproves global warming. Actually, Carl Sagan said many decades ago that increased heat in the atmosphere will cause more extreme weather, including more severe winters as well as hotter summers.

This is in Goomer the Tumor's district (Louie Gohmert).

I have an introductory textbook on meteorology and you have to use calculus to figure out weather patterns in this intro book called "Atmospheric Science". And these guys are smart enough to pass calculus and yet don't believe in global warming????

I get sick of politicians that think you can bribe scientists in white coats to all say the same thing and lie, to accept global warming, which is what Sen. Inhofe has said. Because these politicians are only motivated by money, they can't imagine what it would be like to be a scientist that is only after the truth and doesn't care about money and can't be bribed.

John Maynard Keynes said the same thing in the other direction about Albert Einstein. The Nazis couldn't figure out how to motivate him because he was not interested in money and power.

First, weather is not climate. Climate can influence weather, but it is a very complex system. Consider the butterfly effect.

Second, the weatherman does not control the weather. So shooting him or her is not going to stop the rain, the wind, the tornados, the hurricanes, the thunder, or the lightening. (Expand the list as needed.)
