Rubio just cost himself big time with this quote.....

“This whole new policy is based on an illusion, on a lie, the lie and the illusion that more commerce and access to money and goods will translate to political freedom for the Cuban people,”

Hey dipshit, way to go against the GOP's entire ideology.

It's the independents who start paying attention during the primaries, and certainly those who are paying attention during Presidential debates that he now has to worry about. His base will vote for whoever the koch boys tell them to vote for. It's the independents they need to battle for.

He says if the Cuban people have more access to goods and money because of more commerce, -- it's an illusion! That settles it.

But, of course, we all know that the real reason for normalizing relations with those other two communist countries was because the GOP's backers SMELLED A BUCK to be made. Screw all that bullshit about democracy, human rights, and seizing control through force; we're talking about FREE TRADE deals with CHEAP LABOR markets.

No doubt a few GOP rodeo clowns will jump up and down screaming for a day or two, and then they'll get the memo that the Koch brothers have just signed an exclusive contract to market Cuban cigars in the U.S., and they'll STFU.
