Breaking: The Deal To Release Alan Gross Included Swapping Him For Marco Rubio and Raphael Cruz.

Good riddance to bad trash, I say. No wonder Marco is so pissed. I haven't seen him this angry since the fact checkers pointed out that his parents immigrated to the United States BEFORE Castro took power, and his story about them leaving Cuba to escape communism was all bullshit.

And all I can say to President Obama is BRAVO! He appears to have been totally LIBERATED by the last election; and having spent the last six years being called a 'socialist,' and a 'Marxist,' by a group of troglodytes that wouldn't know a Marxist if one jumped off the battleship Potemkin and bit them on the ass, he's finally decided to commit a 'crime' that's worthy of the punishment! That 'crime' being to establish normal diplomatic relations with Cuba. Something that has already been done with China and Vietnam, and which WOULD have been done with Cuba decades ago if any U.S. President had had the spine to stand up to a small handful of cranky Cuban exiles living in a presidential swing state.

And in case it wasn't obvious, he just DARED the Republicans to impeach him again. Hah!

Incidentally, here's how the script will play over the next few days. A few GOP rodeo clowns will jump up and down about this for a day or two, and then they'll get the memo that the Koch brothers have just landed the contract to market Cuban cigars in the U.S.; and they'll shut up. The U.S. didn't move to normal relations with China or Vietnam because of any ideology about Communism vs. capitalism. They normalized relations because some plutocratic GOP campaign financers SMELLED A BUCK to be made by signing free trade agreements with cheap labor countries. And that's exactly what'll happen here.

(Bad news for you, Rubio. You've been misinformed. The 'three Cuban spies' are you, Ted Cruz, and Raphael Cruz, who were secretly sent by Fidel Castro to completely fark-up the American political system. Bravo to Obama for uncovering the plot!)

Rubio needs to sit down and STFU. He doesn't even know what the word "negotiation" means, and if he does, he's never tried the quaint tactic out that I know of. His "negotiation" means "no no-negotiation" or "no-compromise."

To know whether something is good or not, all you have to do is sit back and listen to the Rebuplican's reaction. If they go off the deep end in protest, hyper-ventilating all over the place, you know it's a good thing.

Jimmy Carter negotiated the Middle East Peace between Egypt and Israel; a negotiating victory that no one, absolutely no one, has even come close to since then.

"Marco Rubio is an idiot," I commented out loud after watching this piece and my son answered, "Well he is a Republican." But I say over an above his Republicaness, Marco Rubio is an idiot!

Having suffered the damnation of the GOP and its corporate media for 6 years, shunned by his own party running from his signature and successful accomplishments, and labelled a dictator for doing the right thing by a divided Republican/Koch Party that governs by doing nothing, time and time again, what has he got to lose by "being one"?

Another term?

And how about an Executive Order to the IRS stating that all companies and super pacs must submit documentation that all of their owners and/or donors are AMERICAN CITIZENS before they are allowed to contribute money to the political process.

And maybe another one to the IRS stating that people are only allowed to donate money to the political campaigns of politicians who are running in the State they LIVE in. No more donations across State lines. That would work.
