My poem on today's killing of 2 cops

Just remember, this is theatre.
The killing of these 2 cops changes nothing.

The reaction is theatre, and is not new, nor is it surprising.
The cops are the defenders of the status quo.
The 1% knows it, and we know it.

So it is imperative that they be mourned, eulogized, sanctified.

The powers will out-do themselves in long faces,
It's OK. It's what is done when a member of the palace guard is killed.

So Michael Brown and Eric Garner were not given this treatment,
this respect, this canonization.

Really... did you expect anything different?

Grit your teeth and bear it. It is going to be a long ride.
But it will end eventually, as all things do.
