WASHINGTON — Mike Johanns is backing Jeb.

The former U.S. senator from Nebraska on Thursday endorsed his fellow Republican’s presidential campaign.

“I really thought Jeb was the best governor in the country,” Johanns told The World-Herald in an interview. “He’s just a real solid guy who knows what he’s doing.”

The Bush campaign provided an exclusive statement in which Johanns touted Bush’s understanding of the negative impact government regulations have on farmers and ranchers.
