Man Can’t Believe Obama Would Use Tragedy To Push Anti-Tragedy Agenda

NEWS IN BRIEF October 2, 2015
VOL 51 ISSUE 39 · News · Guns · Violence · Barack Obama

SEDALIA, MO—Following yesterday’s speech by the president addressing the recent events in Roseburg, OR, local 42-year-old Tim Moss expressed his outrage to reporters that President Obama was attempting to capitalize off a tragedy to push his anti-tragedy agenda. “It’s just disgusting and shameful that, once again, the first thing out of Obama’s mouth after a tragedy is that he wants to limit tragedies,” said Moss, adding that it is both insensitive and opportunistic of the president to suddenly shift the conversation toward curbing the number of tragedies as the nation mourns in the wake of this tragedy.

“Every single time this happens, he makes the tragedy all about clamping down on tragedies, and it’s simply not the time or the place for him to be going in front of the camera and pushing for steps to decrease the number of tragedies. Christ, this is a national tragedy we’re dealing with right now.” Moss added that he hopes Obama conducts himself more appropriately during the next tragedy.

"The President’s comments regarding today’s tragedy in Douglas County are very disappointing, to say the least. The President ONLY spent 1 minute and 20 seconds of his 12 minute and 35 second speech discussing the victims, the families, the faculty and the first responders. He then spent the rest of the 11 minutes and 15 seconds using anti-gun rhetoric, which is unbelievable.

Let’s have a discussion regarding the lack of ANY movement by him and his party on an active forest management plan to bring the resources into Douglas County to provide the needed mental health services. Or, let us discuss how these “gun free zones” only keep law abiding citizens from carrying. Let us ponder the outcome if a faculty member or student had their weapon with them, how many lives could he or she saved today. The liberal media spin on this tragedy; in a rural logging community, that before “laws” changed, allowed their high school students to have their rifles hanging in the back window of their pickup truck, is appalling, as is the President’s response. People Kill people, and the mental health care problems in this Country need help, especially in Rural Oregon. We need the resources to supply these services and there are millions of acres of those resources a mile away from where this tragedy occurred.

Better yet, let us keep the political rhetoric out of this and pray for the families of our neighbors in Douglas County."

God Bless those families and all who have been affected by this senseless and cowardice act and may they be comforted with our thoughts and prayers this evening and in the coming time ahead."

I am certain there are many, many American loons and dimwits out their today who are harshly critical of Obama's gun-control speech given yesterday.
