This one's for the "they should enforce the existing gun laws" crew...

Who are probably talking about mental health or something, as if those exceptions actually prevent many people from buying guns...

ATF: Oregon Shooter Had 13 Guns, All Purchased Legally

By Katherine Krueger Published October 2, 2015, 2:22 PM EDT

Investigators recovered 13 guns linked to the Oregon community college shooter, all of which were purchased legally, a federal official said in a press conference Friday.

Celinez Nunez, the assistant special agent in charge of the Seattle division of the US Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms And Explosives, said six guns were recovered at Umpqua Community College in the wake of a shooting massacre on Thursday that left 10 dead, including the shooter. Another seven guns were found at the gunman’s residence.

The agency was in the process of tracing each of the weapons, Nunez said, but they identified seven that were purchased by the shooter or family members in the last three years.

"They were all purchased legally, yes," Nunez said.

Somebody with no criminal record and apparently no history of mental health issues?

I find it incredibly odd that no one mentions it, yet I've seen others reference the Myspace page itself.

It made me really leery about the MS link in the first place; like it was a setup or a trap. I outright discounted it until I saw another thread a few minutes ago saying that NBC had mentioned it (which is also possibly incorrect, as I haven't looked for myself to check yet).

I heard he was a supporter of the Irish Republican Army. Seriously that was on NBC news website this morning.

He had them on his page too. The original page had a link to a friend (he only had 2 on it) whose page was filled with jihadi pics (as in actually standing around with rocket launchers and stuff, not just 5 random middle east guys in a bar).

...and as I pull up that page, now all those pics are gone. Fascinating.

I don't trust the ISIS connection...but I'm really starting to not trust this story, either.

It will be implied on Fox News and probably stated as fact on C league talk radio and then on social media we will see memes about a connection to terrorist training camps here in the US.

It's the main reason I waited so long to even mention the subject, but after 24 hours and not seeing it still I was curious.

It's such an odd set of contradicting thoughts and whatnot. I'd be real wary about any well-coordinated message appearing, especially knowing that all those pics suddenly vanished. Someone is up to nefariousness, no doubt. Then again, it's media...that's to be expected.
