How to cut down on mass shootings

I was thinking about this........... while most Americans want some common sense gun reforms, they just out screaming loud enough to drown out the sound of NRA money flowing into our politicians bank accounts.

So, while it saddens me that the tens of thousands of dead have not been enough to make people take to the streets to demand change, I started to think, what WOULD make people take to the streets.

You have to hit them where it hurts.

So here is a simple law I would propose and like to see implemented nationwide, and I think it would work. The law would simply say that every time there is a mass shooting (4 or more people shot), out of respect for the victims and to allow the nation time to mourn for the tragedy, ALL professional and NCAA sporting events are cancelled for 1 week.

No baseball
No football
No college football
No nothing

I would give it ONE mass shooting before people are so enraged about not having sports that they would demand their Congressperson take action. And if nothing was done, there may never be another sporting event.

Now, I'm not naïve enough to believe that our NRA controlled congress would ever pass something like this, even if it was intended to pay respect to mass shooting victims, but I think it could work.

Thoughts?

and implemented strict regulations and oddly, because gunz? really? why would anyone connect gunz with mass shootings?, after imposing strict regulations they all pretty much stopped having mass shooting events, or at least had a drastic decrease in incidents.

But I know, that's crazy talk.

the cancelled games would be played sometime anyway, and although they may be disappointed they'd live with it. Those involved with the sport (players, refs, etc) would be pissed because it would extend their season longer and that 4 week break in the middle wouldn't help either, but the nuts doing the actual shooting probably don't pay much attention to sports.

There'd just be a mass shooting on Congress if that happened, however.

I give your idea three stars.

I'll give the idea a -5 stars, since the OP is apparently unaware that gun violence has been decreasing nationally since 1993.

get that law passed, let alone get it put up for a vote.
The 2 are in no way connected to each other and would be like cancelling the Super Bowl because schools don't have a 3.5 GPA.
