Heard on PBS radio this afternoon --

U.S. has 4% of the people in the world and 42% of the guns in the world. And since I don't have one, someone has way more than he or she needs!

In fact, the rate of gun ownership has been declining.

The problem is that some people have a lot of guns, enough to equip their own private goon squads if they get any more paranoid.

The NRA and GOP are making sure they get more paranoid.
