I have a job interview tomorrow 1st one in 32 years

Last edited Tue Oct 6, 2015, 04:14 PM - Edit history (1)

Need some positive vibes.

This company called me, I never applied.

Update on the interview: I think it went very well, I interviewed with a team of 5 managers in a conference room, lot of good questions, a lot of in depth discussion about where I thought I would like to take the position.

Two hours worth of discussion and seemed very casual.

They got my name from a former colleague, so they already had a reference and insight into how I would work.

Have you been self-employed, or at home, or in the same job for a long time?

If someone has sought you out, that's a plus for you!

I put my profile out there a couple years ago when the company I work for started cutting people and just left it. They liked what the saw.

I am thinking the fact they called me is a plus too.

Hope it's what you want, the salary is good, and they make you happy! Best of luck!

It's honestly a lot easier to get a job when you already have one. Knowing you don't really need the job you're interviewing for will relax you and make you that much more desirable as a candidate. Good vibes your way, but you won't need them.

don't say anything to do with alcohol or tobacco. Tell them you have a tendency to work too hard or something.

When they say they don't think honesty is a weakness, say "I don't give a fuck what you think."

Seriously, best of luck with the interview.

I have been praying too. I had 5 interviews last month for the same position but in different regions/counties. I was told it would take up to 2 months to hear back on them and the waiting has been spirit crushing thus far.

You either fit into that work culture or you don't.

They will be spending more hours a day with you than with their own family. You should figure out if you can get along.

Second. Find out really why they need someone. Not that someone quit but exactly what they need done - the part that is not in the official job description. Then you tell them how you can do it (if you can or want to). They want to know if you can save them money or make them money and be a nice person to be around while you are doing it.

Good luck.
