Another guy, looks like he committed "suicide by cop."

Michigan man fatally shot after he hit officer with crossbow

CATO TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) — A Michigan man has been shot and killed by a state trooper after the man struck an officer with a crossbow.

A Michigan State Police news release says the trooper, a Montcalm County Sheriff’s Department deputy and a Lakeview officer were serving an arrest warrant Friday at the Cato Township home of a 40-year-old man.

Authorities say the man shot at the officers with a crossbow and hit the deputy.

The state trooper then shot at the man, striking him at least once. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

In the hands of someone who has experience in using one, a crossbow can be as deadly as any firearm.

Unless one lives under a rock, what happens next when one fires a lethal weapon at a law-enforcement officer, is a near certainty.
