Wyandotte superintendent says suspensions unrelated to Confederate flag controversy (MI)

Wyandotte Public Schools Supt. Catherine Cost says three Roosevelt High boys were suspended after posting a photo on social media of themselves in an unauthorized area of the school. Cost said at least one of them was wearing or holding a Confederate flag in the photo, but that display was unrelated to the suspensions. The students were suspended because the photo indicated they were in an unauthorized area of the building and because at least one of them displayed an “inappropriate” hand gesture ...
