Bradley Cooper says he'll share salary information with female co-stars before production

http://www.businessinsider.in/Bradley-Cooper-says-hell-start-sharing-salary-information-with-female-co-stars-before-movies-go-into-production-to-help-them-negotiate/articleshow/49394304.cms

Hell. Yes.

After applauding Jennifer Lawrence's essay about wage disparity between men and women in Hollywood, Bradley Cooper says he wants to begin teaming up with his female co-stars to negotiate salaries before any film he's interested in doing goes into production.

"I don't know where it's changing otherwise," Copper told Reuters of the Hollywood gender pay gap. "But that's something that I could do."

Cooper and Lawrence have starred together on numerous films, but following the Sony hack it was reveled that for their last film, "American Hustle," Cooper was able to negotiate a higher salary than Lawrence was.

...

Bradley told Reuters he was shocked to learn what he and Lawrence's "American Hustle" co-star Amy Adams earned for the film. He called it "embarrassing" and noted that she got paid "nothing."

Those numbers are from the actual email on the salaries... PoliticAverse Oct 2015 #8
Right, but you're assuming those emails accurately represent the actual payout Recursion Oct 2015 #9

Those numbers (if they're from the same article I'm thinking of) come from the Hollywood Reporter, which doesn't actually know, but guesses.

Cooper and Lawrence actually know each other pretty well (IIRC they dated at some point there?) so I'd assume they talked about that at some point.

But, yeah: I might call a 23% payout from what I make "practically nothing" even though it still would put me in the worldwide 1% (which starts at $34K per year).

Whereas Cooper and Lawrence are in a much better place to talk about that.

Corporations lie internally almost as much as they do externally.

Now if he can do a couple of horror movies I will really take him seriously. Just kidding, well not about the movies. But, about the part where that is a consideration of taking him seriously. This is way cool.

I think it was all the swooning which isn't really his fault. But, it does annoy me. How about liking someone because they are a good person and not because they look good with their shirt off.

I love B movies and Recursion said the script wasn't very good, so that is right up my alley.
