Suspect who attacked Detroit EMTs arrested Tuesday night

DETROIT - The man wanted in a stabbing attack of two EMTs has been arrested.

Detroit police say the suspect, Michael Montgomery, was spotted and arrested at Whitcomb and Fenkell Tuesday night.

Montgomery, 40, was walking with his girlfriend when he was picked up. He has two warrants for murder and rape from a 2006 cold case. Police say the girlfriend was present at the time of the attack in the early morning hours Tuesday.

Kelly Adams, 13 years a Detroit EMT had her face allegedly slashed by Montgomery with a box cutter. Her partner, Alfredo Rojas, two years on the job, was stabbed in his right hand and slashed just below the right eye.
