Who do you like? We have to think positive here. Not to cast aspersions on any other party's asperagus, but it merits mention that the wingers can't find one smart, strong leadershippy House member. We've got a deep bench of excellent human beings. I ran out of spaces before I ran our of possibilities.
Editing to clarify that we have to win the House back to elect a Democratic speaker. (This just in

I'm saying when we are in the majority again, we have great leadership potential in our ranks.
At least I thought that was obvious. Thanks for pointing out that it is not.

(17,646 posts)Is it pretty there? Are people nice, mostly? Is it difficult being a democrat in that community? Do people accept you or hold you at arms length?
I love Goldens too, had two for 13 and 14 years. They are special, different than other dogs.
Anyway thanks again for your comment that helped me clarify my post. Aloha.

(60,010 posts)I have had other breeds, but a Goldie stole my heart over 30 years ago, and I cannot imagine life with out one.
Alabama has several climate zones, from sub-tropical where winter is rare up to the border with tenn. with ice and snow.
Very green, and mostly rural, lots of small towns.
People are polite, quite sociable, nice and friendly, VERY community minded, and we all get along because religion and politics are not a subject for discussion unless you know someone quite well.
Sorry I misunderstood your post....

(17,646 posts)Really nice to meet you.
My great grandmother's father walked back home to Louisiana after being released from POW camp in Indiana at the end of the civil war. They moved back and forth from Alabama. She moved here to Hawaii in the 40's. I've never been there.
Aloha dixiegrrrl.
