As a teacher I used to ask kids if they would rather be called ignorant or stupid?They would say, "What's the difference? " My reply, "Ignorant means you don't know; stupid means you can't learn. Which would rather be?" These people are definitely STUPID.

yet nobody can name one example where he's proposed anything that would take guns away from people because there are none. There's been talk about registering firearms and the like following the mass shootings we've seen in recent months, but nobody of credence has proposed confiscating anyone's guns.

The NRA plays these people like a fiddle by throwing out the chum to the sharks: "Obama's taking away your guns." And gun sales spike accordingly. That's most of the MO in this whole scenario. That, and directing hate to an opposing political party like Cruz is doing.

Gun supporters always play the "I need to protect myself and my family" card. I'd like to see stats that show how many deaths from guns were from defensive situations (protecting myself/family) and the type where someone in an act of aggression shot a person or a group of people.

They endure so well because some people are born hard wired to fear what is not understood and to attack what they fear, especially outsiders. Anybody who reads about the bircher-cons of last century will be struck by the great similarity, but that's because the vast majority are just plain old social/religious conservatives doing what they do -- but now under the master guidance of mass manipulation.

I really think the United States needs to pass laws against mass indoctrination of untruths the same way we do not allow shouting "fire" in a theater -- for the protection of society.

Also be extremely limited in how public money to religious enterprises may be used. Money is empowering. Let them pay for their own passing on of beliefs.
