"Americans first reaction to Canada getting its first new prime minister in 10 years: Googling and ogling shirtless photos of the new prime minister.
On a slow U.S. news day, the victory of a handsome and liberal political heir with a history of sporadic half-nakedness generated a rare wave of media coverage that ranged from sober policy analysis to fawning fluff. Even mainstream outlets could not resist a little beefcake.
Under the headline, Meet Justin Trudeau: Canadas Liberal, Boxing, Strip-Teasing New PM, NBCNews.com posted a photo of Trudeau flexing his biceps. The attached article: a light-on-policy explainer that included four sentences on Trudeaus biceps tattoo."

Justin Trudeau is actually a decent regular-guy boxer. He won a celebrated charity match against a conservative Canadian Senator a few years back. Maybe that's where the bicep flexing pic is from. Best wishes to him and the new Liberal majority government coming in Canada.

...............
.....on second thought.....I am still wondering....
"Justin lived much of his childhood in the public eye. The family's security detail gave him the codename "Maple 3".
But as he grew up he shied away from politics. He attended McGill University then the University of British Columbia, where he earned a degree in education. He became a teacher.
In 1998, his youngest brother Michel was killed in an avalanche in British Columbia. That tragedy forced him into the public spotlight and he became a spokesman for avalanche safety.
When his father died two years later at the age 84, Mr Trudeau delivered the eulogy at the nationally televised funeral. His speech was widely praised and led many to ponder his potential for public office for the first time.
He married his wife Sophie Gregoire, a Quebecois television and radio reporter, in 2004. They have three children."

(44,228 posts)A few years ago, Justin Trudeau, then a Liberal MP, and Claude Brazeau, a Conservative Senator, fought a 3-round bout to raise money for cancer research.
Here's the fight, for those interested. Three two-minute rounds. Trudeau actually didn't have that bad a jab.
Excuse the Fox News Lite coverage from the commenters. The fight was broadcast on now defunct Sun TV.
Fight actually starts at about 4:30.

Geraldo: Congrats to new Canadian PM
I slept with your mom
Heres looking at you, kid!
Fox News Channel personality Geraldo Rivera sent a congratulatory message Tuesday to stud Canadian Prime Minister-elect Justin Trudeau whose mother he once claimed to have bedded.
Congrats to @JustinTrudeau #Canada now has a stud prime minister whos going to inject passion & energy into a nations staid, safe policies, Rivera tweeted.
Back in 1991, Rivera boasted in his kiss-and-tell book Exposing Myself that he had a steamy tryst with the prime minister-elects mom, former Canadian first lady Margaret Trudeau.
It was like she had never been made love to before, Rivera penned. It was like she was unleashing years of pent-up frustration.
Trudeau said at the time that Rivera was the victim of an overactive imagination.
