Carson avoids facing facts on Confederate flag

David Person 12:30 p.m. CDT October 21, 2015

... Carson was asked about the Confederate flag issue. Carson said NASCAR fans should continue flying the flag as long as it's on private property.

Carson's response undoubtedly pleased those who believe that flying the Confederate flag is a heritage or states right issue. And it’s certainly true that we Americans are free to express our beliefs, no matter how offensive, on our property.

But Carson is ignoring the historical facts about the flag ...

... he should lead the way by owning up to the racist truth about the Confederate flag ...
