All I wanted was a freakin' hamburger to tide me over the rest of the way back to New Orleans from the Redneck Riviera. So of course the damn thing comes back with cheese. So I tell the guy that, and he just stands there and shrugs his shoulders. Finally I ask for the manager. The minutes tick by. Finally this doughy-faced dork who looked like he'd been watching pr0n in the office came out. "Uh, can I help you?" "Yes, sir. I ordered a hamburger, and I got a cheeseburger." (tick, tick, tick) "Uh. okay." So he picks the damn thing up, scrapes the cheese off it with a knife, and hands it back to me! "Um, no, sir, there's still cheese all over the bun and everything." "Uh, sorry." "So can you get me a new one?" "Uh, no, I'm not authorized to do that." "Authorized? Aren't you the manager?" (tick, tick, tick) "Uh, sorry, corporate policy." "Are you serious?" I say as I storm out. Take my advice: if you get hungry along I-10, try and hold out until Mobile!
