Mods, this is about a NATIONAL EVENT, not the primaries.
She did her country proud under a withering political hitjob.
Cool. Calm. Incredibly well endowed with near total recall. Answering in a constantly respectful tone. NEVER giving them a sound bite and video clip.
As a Democrat, I am proud she is on our side.
(If you choose to answer, PLEASE try to keep it about today and NOT about the primaries.)

(70,490 posts)Oh well it launched her 2016 slogan.
"We need leadership at home to match our leadership abroad.
Leadership that puts national security ahead of politics and ideology." Hillary 10/22/15

(6,351 posts)When you start looking at these folks who run the big departments, aside from the political elements of the job that can't be denied, they sound like tough tough jobs. Kerry, Clinton, Powell, Albright...hell, even Rice...they're no lightweights by anybody's measure. I heard Rice speak at a conference once and they way she handled questions was really amazing. I hate her (Condi's) politics with a passion but she's a hell of a strategic thinker.
Then I think about Congress and the fact that they "work" (if you can call it that) 127 days of the year. Can you imagine the hell that would break loose if Clinton (or any other SoS) said they were only going to work a 3 day week?
I come away thinking SoS is a tougher job than VP by a long shot.

(32,685 posts)I turned from it with the intention of watching a recap at 7pm, but she was still testifying! I would have been furious and in tears after 30 minutes of their ridiculous, disgusting attacks. She sat there for how many hours? 10? 11? They (the GOP that supports this circus) are truly disgusting people, and yes, ENEMIES!

I was stunned to see Hillary with the word "LIVE" in the corner.
I've always liked Hillary. Today she earned even more of my respect and admiration.
I think the Republicans just gave her campaign a big boost!

As a Democrat, I am hella proud not to be a Republican. Today and every day, but today in particular.

(7,479 posts)Donald is whining about a 3 hour CNBC debate. He would have melted into an orange puddle today. Come to think of it, this is a better format than that of the Presidential debates. The rest of the candidates should be similarly interrogated.

(81,220 posts)I think that's a pretty good call, myself. They did everything to her but beat her up with baseball bats. And they didn't lay a finger on her. trey gowdy ended up looking physically worked over. She, on the other hand, remained cool, calm, and collected. And not a BIT sweaty.
A class act. I'm proud to be a supporter.
Thank you, Bernie folks, for your kind words. She certainly earned them today.

(6,544 posts)I also support Bernie, I can see the ads in the General now if she should take the nomination.... or just let her SuperPACs tear them apart. It'll take more than Koch's $900M to paper that turdpile over

She kicked their collective asses today. It was a sight to behold.
