It's a sick, nasty, rotten bunch of right-wing vindictive whackos still trying to get 'revenge' for the Nixon infamy.
They've learned how to at least partially hamstring the executive branch and they ain't gonna quit now.
Oh no.
As Margot Channing (Bette Davis) said in "All About Eve", "Fasten your seat belts, it's going to be a bumpy ride."
Except it will not just be 'bumpy'.
It will be full blown severe turbulence with injuries and a lot of collateral damage.
Thus will it be unless and until they lose enough elections and boot the looneys out.
I hope I live to see the day, but that is doubtful

(2,593 posts)Hillary because the R's will relentlessly go after her and it will be a continuation of the current gridlock. So I should let them influence how I vote? They will oppose any Democratic President with equal tenacity.
Pissing them off will just add to my pleasure of voting for Hillary.

I like Bernie's message, but I'd vote for Hillary in a New York minute!
They are permanently pissed off and 'victimized' and that wouldn't change even if we somehow managed to elect the pope.

(14,177 posts)Too many people vote and are done. Manning the phones and sending emails works. Some people might even consider getting into politics on the local level and getting things done. This is what we should have learned from Obama, maybe we can get it with this election cycle.
