David Brooks coughs up an enormous furball in today's NYT...

and gets a shitload of readers mad as hell.

Oh, he starts "sensibly" enough as always (and I have hope and continue reading)...but sure enough his racism and elitism triumphs over any sense of decency. He seems to want a "better class of people" in our ghettos. They don't work, have babies before they are married, oh dear, what to do with this type of people. I am steaming mad by my second cup of coffee...

He seems to want a "different" kind of Donald Trump and thinks out loud about how cool that would be.

Oh, David, David, DAvid...as one commenter pointed out: what you want is called a Democrat...

The "book" above displayed someone more impressed with himself than I had ever believed possible, and I managed about 30 pages before giving up in disgust.

With the likes of Brooks, Dowd, Douthat, et al spewing their shit in what was once a solid anchor site for liberal opinion in this country, I finally just gave up on it, by and large. If a good column is recommended here on DU, I might check it out. But it sure isn't like it used to be. Pretty damn sad, given how awash we are in conservative braying locations.
