Donald Trump's campaign cannot survive being in second place.

With Ben Carson taking the national lead in the latest NY Times/CBS poll, we will see a change in fortunes for the Trump campaign.

A campaign based solely upon Trump being a winner cannot withstand being in second place nationally, and thus will come to an end. His entire schtick is on the line and is completely dependent upon him remaining in first place.

The flavor of the month is now Ben Carson. I wonder who will become the next flavor of the month?

Now he is trying to give it a hard edge again but it looks like too much of an effort. He can't be on every talk show constantly. He has to actually have a campaign staff and offices. He was running mostly for free but he was like a band that just keeps touring and eventually the crowd shrinks because it's the same old thing.

We don't need some third only half-way crazy to emerge. Our chances of beating either of these two are MUCH higher than against "more normal" candidates
