Robert Downey Jr. has come a long way since the old days. The star, now almost synonymous with his role in “Iron Man,” has made it a habit to give young fans a role model that they can look up to.

Daily Life reports that he recently went above and beyond the call of duty for a fan battling cystic fibrosis and the story will melt your heart.



Daniel is seven-years-old and suffers from cystic fibrosis. His mom, posted this photo of him on Facebook, explaining that Daniel loves Iron Man because: “he has managed to get past the bullies he faces from day to day by telling them the he too has a extra special port in his chest much like iron man has his arc reactor”.
