Joe Scarborough: GOP in trouble because voters realize trickle-down-economics don't work.

http://www.rawstory.com/2016/03/joe-scarborough-gives-up-the-game-after-30-years-the-gop-base-realized-it-never-trickles-down/

“The problem with the Republican Party over the past 30 years is they haven’t — and I’ll say, we haven’t — developed a message that appeals to the working class Americans economically in a way that Donald Trump’s does,” the former Republican lawmaker explained. “We talk about cutting capital gains taxes that the 10,000 people that in the crowd cheering for Donald Trump, they are never going to get a capital gains cut because it doesn’t apply.”

...

“But herein lies the problem with the Republican Party,” Scarborough complained. “It never trickles down! Those people in Trump’s crowds, those are all the ones that lost the jobs when they get moved to Mexico and elsewhere. The Republican donor class are the ones that got rich off of it because their capital moved overseas and they made higher profits.”

...

According to Scarborough, Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) was losing because he still believed in conservatism as it was “defined by the donor class, as defined by the wealthiest Republicans.”

“The Republicans said, listen, we’re going to have all of these trade deals and tax cuts that benefit our wealthiest donor class, but we’ll give them the social issues,” Scarborough said of the last 30 years. “We’ll give them abortion, we’ll give them gay marriage, we’ll give them guns and they’ll vote for us.”

people are learning all the repubs are neoliberal on economics. People are afraid of Democratic Socialism, wait until they learn, hope not to late, about republican fascism.

Fun with words.

gaggle eyed this morning over Trump's wins. And they treated Bernie's win in Michigan with faint praise...pretty obvious...

This is not the traditional, trickle-down conservative Republican that we normally face. And the Democrats have a weak front-runner when it comes to white, working class voters. Michigan proved Hillary has a serious vulnerability in the mid-west among white middle-class. This alone could lose the election because these are critical swing states up there who are voting for Trump in higher turnout than the Democrats.

Trump is not saying we need to cut everyone's taxes. Instead, he's talking about punishing Apple and forcing them to "make their damn phones here." He talks about bringing jobs back to the country. How he does that is still a mystery, but that kind of populist rhetoric is working and gaining him votes. It's not only working among middle class GOPers, but Bernie is attacking the elites and the upper class and it's pulling Democrats his way.

"Oh, he's so outrageous. Oh, he has small hands."

Nobody has attacked Trump for his economic proposals.

Nobody has attacked him for the political and economic consequences his wall with Mexico would have. Nobody has attacked him for setting up concentration-camps.

Nobody has attacked him for not having a coherent foreign-policy.

Nobody has attacked him for not having an Obamacare-replacement.

Andsoforth...

Trump has no actual ideas he could pitch in a campaign, because he knows jack-shit about politics. He's all bluster and braggadio.

I REALLY wish for a special kind of political debate 1:1 Trump vs Sanders/Clinton:
The moderator says: "Surprise! Here's a whiteboard and a marker. You have 10 minutes to pitch your tax-policy to the audience. Our fact-checkers are on stand-by. We decide by coin-toss who goes first."

Donald Trump doesn't pitch proposals.
He bullies and buys until he gets what he wants.
Winning people over with good ideas is simply not his style.

Bernie hasn't really gone negative on her the way Trump will. The GOP has tons of ammo on her. And they will hit her hard on the emails.

Hillary also isn't that much more liked than Trump. Both candidates have historically high unfavorables.
