It's another warm winter day today in Maine.

The forecast says "enjoy record warmth on Wednesday". It is projected to by 65 F here today. It was about that warm this past Christmas too. This is like the winter that never was. No snow. Warm. Did anyone get more snowy, cold conditions than normal or has everyone been getting less snow and more warm conditions than normal this winter? In Maine, this winter is insane. No skiing, no ice fishing, no sledding, no skating... etc. It just sucked for any of that. We had a piddling amount of snow back in Jan-Feb. We were able to do some x-country skiing, but it was bad, only a couple inches on the ground. You could see the grass poking through the snow. We've had no snow since Feb 16th now. Couldn't x-country ski any place since then.

Warm, boring winter here in northern Minnesota. For us, much of it is from El Nino. I don't know how Brickbat Mar 2016 #1

I'm in mid-coast Maine. Same thing. I felt bad for our snow plower. He needs the income. PWPippin Mar 2016 #5

I'm just wondering how much of the country was affected by it this winter. I think the whole of New England has had the same sort of winter.

We're usually freezing our butts off this time of year in Maine. It was 42 F when I went outside just about 30 minutes ago.

I think we were plowed four times and one of those it wasn't really necessary since it melted so quickly.

Mangoes in Maine?

here in Northern California for the last two weeks of Feb.

The first week of March has seen the temps drop (and we have gotten more RAIN!) to the more seasonal lower 60s, but by the end of next week... back to 75 or so.

Altogether its been like its a month later in the calendar than what I remember from being here in the 1980s and 1990s... Feb was more like March of 30 years ago, March is more like April.

Christmas Eve my son and I were shopping in short sleeves. We've only had to have our driveway plowed twice, and one of those was a minor snow storm. It's been a very strange winter in NE for sure.
