Newest member of the Mr. President & First Lady Bald Eagle family at National Arboretum today

The little eaglet emerged from his/her shell at 8:30 this morning. It's been so fascinating to watch. Mom & dad have both been feeding the little one fish today that Mr. President brought to their nest. The second egg is expected to start hatching this weekend. Here is a screen grab of the little one I took at about 3:30 today when mama was feeding him/her:
