Mitt Romney Will Be The Repugs Brokered Candidate....

He's been positioning for this since he gave his Dump Trump speech. He's taking Kasich & Cruz for fools. He's using them to deny Trump the delegates he needs for the nomination. Because of their egos they think he is supporting them. He will walk out of Cleveland as the compromise nominee without spending a penny for the nomination and the Repug Party will unite behind him.

His big fat ego can't stand to lose so he'll take a lot of the knuckledragger vote away from the GOP. That way when the chosen GOP candidate (Mittens?) loses, Trump can brag about being the spoiler. He'd love that.

Either that or he'll encourage his mouth-breathing minions to write him in, and they'll do it (those who can write, anyhow).

Trump knows that. Too late to litigate. That takes time and there will be no time left.

But he has enough fanatical followers to siphon votes away from the "establishment" candidate.
To late to litigate? Not necessarily. There could be time to get a preliminary injunction and that would be all he'd need.

deny Clinton the 50% plus one delegates. If that happens, the Republican House votes - one vote for state - for the President. Meaning it is possible that Romney could come in third in the popular vote and win.

This could happen if Trump wins enough swing states - and either Trump or Romney win the red states.

It could mean a landslide for Clinton if she keeps all the vote that would ordinarily go to Democrats.

I think the Republican establishment wanted Rubio, but he bombed. Now they seem to be rallying behind Cruz, despite his unpopularity in the Senate. I think that rank and file Republicans would reject a nominee who hadn't even run in any of the primaries.

chosen. They will engineer the delegates at the convention to 'break' for Romney. Trump will in all liklihood go Third Party candidate (although who knows if at that late date he can do much to make it meaningful) which should be more than enough to guarantee Hillary's election.

Except with gun hoarders if they deny Trump the nomination....it seriously won't be pretty given the craziness of his supporters.

I am no expert, but I don't see Romney being any easy pill for the base of the Dem party to swallow. Not at all.

Trump supporters will freak like crazed loons. You think they're crazy now! Wait until their new hero is usurped by Mittens. Hold on to yer butts!

I just don't see Mittens inspiring anyone. Yes, he is the darling of the Republican establishment, but no one in the Republican party outside of the DC apparatus wants anything to do with Mitt. This is what truly cracks me up. The Republican constituency has gone off the grid. They're feral. Mittens is like warmed over milk wearing a sweater. Republican voters, especially the politically active base that votes--is not into Mittens. At all.

Furthermore, he ran once and lost. Mitt symbolizes loss and let down to the voters.

I think people want to fix this in their minds. They've got such horrendous dissonance when it comes to Trump. They want someone or something to undo the horrors, so they don't have to wrap their brains around Trump lounging on a leopard-print rug in the Oval Office. Because we all know that if Trump wins the White House, it will be nothing but gold columns and leopard print as far as the eye can see.
