Superintendent responds to racist, anti-Semitic Ottoson graffiti (MA)

ARLINGTON
Racist and anti-Semitic graffiti was found in two bathrooms at Ottoson Middle School this week.
"We take this extremely seriously as it is behavior that is totally unacceptable in the Arlington Public School community," Ruggere wrote in an email to parents.
School staff is working with the Arlington Police Department and the Arlington Human Rights Commission to address the incident, the email noted.
Staff took the issue up with students on during lunch periods on Friday. In a statement to the press issued Friday, Superintendent Kathy Bodie said the discussions centered around "community standards of acceptable behavior, and reinforcing how seriously the school community views this type of incident" ...
