among Republican women, it's a bad sign for Republicans at the national level since women typically turn out better than men. Especially bad because Republican women get even more turned off when ads start repeating many of Trump's words about women over the years.

Of course, it will be a lot more helpful to Clinton or Sanders if Democrats also pick up seats in the House and win back the Senate.

(Then, we see the president nominate a 45 year old liberal instead of a 63 year old moderate...)
