The Glen Rose mother who admitted to putting her daughter in an oven was taking drugs before the incident Wednesday and had a history with Child Protective Services as well as a criminal record, according to documents obtained by KXAS-TV (NBC5).

The 2-year-old remained at Parkland Memorial Hospital on Monday with second- and third-degree burns covering about 14 percent of her body, according to a medical assessment from Children’s Medical Center.

When the toddler is released, she will be placed in a foster home.

Tasha Hatcher, 35, who was arrested Thursday, has been charged with injury to a child with serious bodily injury.

A neighbor called 911 late Wednesday to report that Hatcher had shown up nude with her daughter, who was also nude, and had fresh burn marks all over her body, according to the probable cause affidavit.

While talking with a Somervell County deputy, Hatcher kept “singing to God and giving praise to him,” and she also made sexual comments to the deputy and lunged at him, according to the affidavit.
