Of all the thousands of stupid things Trump has done, pissing off people like Bezos

and Bloomberg and Cuban may well rank in the top 10. I have no fondness for any of these guys, and no respect for them either, but Bezos owns the WaPo and Bloomberg owns, well Bloomberg News. Cuban is a big reality tv star just like trump. It was a given that people like Buffett and Soros would support HRC, not so clear that the others would not have supported a republican not named trump.

them think he'll benefit their bottom line- and there are an amazing number of (OK, apologies for sounding snobbish) mostly new money people who are exceedingly tacky.

Yesterday, for some odd reason, I looked up images for the address of the house my parents built in 1968. The house they built wasn't showy, but it was quite lovely. It was private, on several acres. It was not a mega-mansion, but not small, about 4,500 sq. feet- really great swimming pool that was especially deep because we were into diving. They sold it in the late 90's to move to a smaller place. I knew that the people that bought it had knocked it down and built some monster 11,000 square foot mansion, but I had no idea how hideous it was until I googled the address.

Lots of tacky new money people who care only about lining their own pockets.
