Oh. My. God.

“I’ve always had a great temperament. And you know, I win. I have a winning temperament. We’re going to win, we’re going to start winning again,” he said. “But I’ve won. My whole life has been about winning. I win. She can’t win. She’s not a winner. She can’t win.”

Just to remind people who still can't believe it, yes, this is who the Republican party has nominated for the office of President of the United States in the year 2016.

You can't even parody this douchebag, since the mockery is almost always identical to the real thing.

Sun Aug 7, 2016, 09:15 AM

However his campaign comes to an end he's going to need to deploy a covering narrative that makes himself look good. Leading a rebellion of angry orange-men doesn't really have much promise to do that.

Trump can blame others who he could claim were out to get him... the media, the oligarchs, the dems, etc. That's pretty run of the mill type stuff and he's already done some of that so it's got a chance. But it is really is hard to make the claim that the election was rigged because it's going to lack a specific hook into a sliver of reality. It's unlikely to have anything like 'hanging chad' to support it.

Another possibility is he could claim his wife's character was personally and harmfully attacked and he withdrew to protect her and the rest of his family. I think this one has a pretty good chance. There's a connection to a reality that everyone has heard, that would give him something specific to point at. Love of family is a sacred shield many political figures have hidden under.

But it seems his advisers have told him that he is being branded by Hillary....and it is sticking. He has shown that he is "unfit" and does not have the "temperament" for the job of President.

Now, he seems to think he can turn that same branding upon Hillary. It won't work. It's his. He earned it.

it being snl, the skit then, of course, went on too long by simply repeating the concept a few times.

that skit seems quaint in retrospect. it was hilarious at the time because reagan napped a lot and wasn't a detail-oriented guy. but compared to him, shrub, omg.

but it would be funny to have a similar skit about trump, suddenly using "s.a.t. words", diving deep into policy, speaking in fluent, complete sentences, etc.

The epitome of empty rhetoric

he follows the same vapid formula for every speech, as follows:

A hyperbolic, false accusation:

we know _____________ is bad; it's bad ; you know it's bad
(and it's all Obama's fault, implied.)

Followed by flattery to followers, grandiosity and vague promises:

But I'm gonna make ______ good.
We're gonna make ______ good.
We're gonna make ______ great.
We're gonna make ______ greater than ever before.

We lose/fail at everything.
But I'm gonna win.
We're gonna start winning.
We're gonna win more than we ever have before. And so it goes...

A carnival barker. An empty-headed cheerleader at a pep rally.

His speeches are insulting to anyone with half a brain, but they are designed to
appeal to the masses who are easily manipulated by this sort of sales pitch which
links the words "we" with flattery and grandiose adjectives. He leads his drones to
believe it is they who will achieve some sort of greatness, IF they follow him.

He said that he beat all the other "boring" republican candidates in the primaries.
That is such a mischaracterization. He beat the "serious" candidates. He is a joke.

Questions:

1) What exactly is so bad right now, Donny ?
2) What has not improved since Obama took office from his incompetent predecessor ?
3) What do you PLAN TO DO, specifically, aside from building a wall and banning Muslims ?
