This would be Cokie ROBERTS on ABC, plus Matthew DOWD (Mr Maria SHRIVER?), and a (another? plus those two) Repuke strategist/unknown woman. Roland MARTIN barely had anything to say.
So, no, you guessed it, they weren't talking about DRUMPF, although they briefly deigned to grant that he is an "even worse" candidate, still managing to blame you-know-her in their framing, "She's SO horrible a candidate that the only thing that saves her is that he's even worse!1"
But Cokie, who now casts herself as a feminist heroine (based on *writing about* feminist heroines?) and whose career was fundamentally the legacy of famous, truly Democratic parents, managed to fulfill her heroineship by smacking the Repuke woman: When the Repuke said something about the "bad terrible horrible" candidate also "not looking presidential," Cokie snapped to say, "Those are code for 'don't-elect-a-woman!1" And that put a lid on that!1

(11,584 posts)She makes it painfully obvious how proud she is of herself. In that regard reminds me a bit of Peggy Noonan although thats probably way too harsh.

This current notion that Hillary is not actually a very good candidate is a classic example. She's not terribly charismatic, yet look where she has been and where she is in spite of everything. She's gotten smarter, more experienced, more centered on her goals, and more competent every year.
And now she's the first woman nominee running for president with all the weight of misogynistic opposition on her back and battling ever upward despite 30 years of MSM hostility and right-wing character assassination. Absolutely amazing!
People who like to point to Hillary's very low favorability ratings (now) without pointing out that her ratings are solidly favorable whenever she isn't running for president will owe us all another giant apology, but we'll never see it of course.

(70,497 posts)so-called "issue." Plus, ain't it ironic that the women on the panel were bad-terrible-horrible on "the first woman nominee"! Especially with Cokie making gender her own, personal, main issue.

Will never forget this question she asked during the election theft of 2000.

Roberts questioned the wisdom of the Obamas taking their vacation at such an "exotic" location as Hawaii.
