Trump don't talk so guud English

For one segment of CNN's “Fareed Zakaria’s GPS Show” he had a Trump spokeswoman and an anti-Trump Republican.
At one point the anti-Trump Republican said: “America deserves a President who speaks proper English”
causing the Trump spokeswoman to break into loud, derisive laughter.

Why is that funny?

Don't we deserve a President who speaks proper English?

I think criticising Trump's English plays into his (tiny) hands; he gets to call others 'elitist' muriel_volestrangler Aug 2016 #7

I wouldn't put it past him to have paid someone to take his college exams for him.

Can't remember his name, but derisive chuckles were his most freq response.

That's what happens when one knows the 🐃💩 they're pushing is obvious.

He needs to pretend to be a representative of 'the common man' (let's face it, he's lost most women already). His target demographic for more voters is not those who worry about grammar or long words.
