Check the label on benadryl cream before applying to lip. If you have any meat tenderizer, mix that with the baking soda and make a paste to put on the sting - the meat tenderizer will help break down the proteins in the wasp poison.

If the swelling gets serious go to a walk in clinic.

My last wasp sting was next to my nose. By the time I walked the fifty feet from where I got stung to inside the house, my nose was so swollen I had to breath through my mouth. My husband drove me to a walk in clinic, they gave me shots and monitored me to make sure it wasn't going to get worse.

have in the house.

Be aware of prophylactic reaction--tight throat--might feel like you have been to the dentist--lower jaw many feel like that. Or a progressive rash. Seek medical help if this happens.

Bee stings--even if you have not been allergic before--and have had been bites without any reaction before--can happen as we get older.

I think you could use some benedryl ointment but be careful about eating it.

I got a bunch of guinea wasp stings yesterday on both hands. I went right for the baking soda. It took a lot of the sting out. My right hand swelled up quite a bit. I used the benedryl and before bed applied it liberally and wore a glove over it. The swelling has gone down quite a bit but I still have tightness when I make a fist.

Stings as a kid, my Mom would tear up one 1-2 of her cigarettes,(menthol), get the tobacco damp and apply it as a poultice, changing it with a fresh one a few times over a couple hours. It was immediately soothing and also drew out the venom of the sting. It really seemed to do the trick.

Probably don't have cigs lying around, now though, the way they were in the 60s.

Vinegar and ice will help. But Benadryl will guard against reaction.

month later, it still itched . I'm sure I had stinger out, but it didn't matter. Right after getting stung, I started feeling shortness of breath tightness, etc. We were far away from medical care, but found a little store with benydrl. Took a bunch because I've seen people with a serious reaction.

Good luck.

I get stung and am mostly pain free within the hour with minimal care. It sounds like you are allergic.

We went down the shore for a couple weeks one summer...
When we came home I went to get the mail and got attacked by like half a dozen wasps across my chest... like little sewing machines. It was like my chest was on fire!!!
Keep an eye on the sting and follow all the good advice above.
Chances are you will survive! I hope you feel better, though.
