and alienates those on the fence.

I love this move. The more Trump plays to his base, the less likely the undecided vote will swing in his direction.

Folks are starting to think this. It makes sense.

He has his core supporters, the rubes. He is not reaching out to anyone else..."Us" only, not the demon "They"

He rails against the press and media all the time, he will blame them for losing & the rubes will be told his network is for their kind

now he has Ailes and this jerk-off Bannon. He has his toadies on the networks all the time, get cold on air reads and face time

rubles from the rubes, lol

But setting up a media empire, even a small one, requires a LOT of money and time. Rupert Murdoch didn't get to be Rupert Murdoch overnight or all at once. He built up in Australia and Great Britain and had going concerns before getting into the American market. He lost a shit-ton of money, but always was looking ahead to the prize, which he finally achieved. Trump doesn't have the vision, the time, the stamina, or the money to do even 1/100 of what Murdoch did, and since there's already a perfectly functioning right-wing ratfucking operation going, who's going to invest in a proposed Trump network?

This guy doesn't want the awesome responsibility of actually being president.

He want to make MONEY. Shameless grifter.
